When I decided to sell my house last year, a friend of mine recommended Phil Drewry. I already had a real estate agent who had represented me on the purchase of my house, and had already met with him about selling it. However, because Phil came so highly recommend, I decided to meet with him. Phil’s presentation was impressive.
He knew every sale in the neighborhood by memory, and presented in a very articulate way concepts such as market timing, competition, pricing models, and buyer psychology, showing how he used all of these to arrive at a price recommendation and market the property. It was head and shoulders above my former realtor’s presentation.
After I decided to list with Phil, he walked the property with me, pointing out details and making recommendations to prepare the property for sale. He persuaded me to spend some money to do improvements, and it was money well-spent.
When six offers were submitted on my property in the first week, Phil showed his keen negotiation skills, which he no doubt learned in his former career as an attorney. He negotiated with the six buyers daily for almost a week, which resulted in a big and unexpected sale price.
As an attorney myself, it was very important to me to have an agent who was knowledgeable about the contracts, who communicated clearly, and who would protect not only my financial interests but who would help insulate me from potential liability as well. Phil meticulously documented everything in the file, and always made sure every “t was crossed and i dotted”.
Finally, Phil treated my property like it was his own. I had already moved to Seattle after it was listed for sale, and friends who checked in on the property said that Phil kept it clean and secure at all times. I am writing to recommend Phil Drewry as a real estate agent. My fiancée and I met Phil over the summer at an open house. Phil immediately stood out among other agents by his friendly demeanor, and by the professional way in which he presented the property. He sold our house in one week on the market for the asking price and we closed escrow yesterday.
Phil is honest and reliable. He is extremely detail-oriented and his coordination of both of our escrows was outstanding, resulting in two on-time closings.
